Unfamiliar | July 1st

How do we even begin about today's adventures... It started with a simple lunch at Congee Queen with S.Wang and R.Mao. It was pretty much the first time officially hanging out with these guys apart from the BBQ and Cafe Princess experience from earlier. Everything just happened so spontaneously. We didn't even know how to make of the day. All we knew was that we were regretting it already.

S.Wang is a weird dude, with all of his guesses and observant ways. Choco made a creepy observation when she pointed out the fact that we were matching: black & black, stripes & stripes. Because we were ahead of schedule we made a stop at S.Wang's place to pass time. The mood was quite dead in the beginning... but after a bottle of green apple, everyone loosened up a bit. We played 1 truth and 2 lies; man that was a difficult game...! But we did learn some things about them... houses, family members, unexpected musical talents and so on.

We finally got to the movies and did not expect that they would pay for us. The total came out to be over $70 for just 4 movie tickets. The movie itself was quite bland. Probably the longest movie that we had to sit through. On top that, we had absolutely NO idea what was going on. However, Choco did have a fun time sitting in the movie theatre as they did some unexpected "things", which we will not go into detail because the mysteriousness of it all speaks for itself.

Only photo of the day

After the movie, we were told that the movie was, "totally worth it" and that "every part of it was awesome". So, we will be saying those two lines to whoever that asks us to compensate for the lack of knowledge that we had from the movie... haha.

Next stop was at TenRen, where the guys ordered food and drinks. We only had bubble tea, for obvious reasons. It's amazing that we don't have to spend anything with these people, but there's also this other uncomfortable feeling included in the package. We were then joined by their depressing and emo friend, BC. No comment on that guy whatsoever. He did drive us a little though, while SW unwelcomingly squeezed in the middle seat between us.. >.>

We said our goodbyes and although we were so reluctant to go home, RM drove us home anyways where we sat in front of Choco's place, not knowing what to do next. On the peaceful night, we sat on the bench and talked about the day and watched people walk pass by. We had our dinner (our only proper meal of the day) at congee and finally made our way to Choco's house. We weren't expecting much sleep for the night because we were leaving to New York Fucking City the next day! We did however, get a visit from Mr. JZ in the middle of the night. Literally, at like 3am. Random chats here and there and before we knew it, we were in the midst of planning another hang out. Choco was obviously out of it for obvious reason.. haha.

Not much to do after that, but wait till 5am to leave. The adventures for the next few days should be extraordinary, right?

Grad | June 29th

Started off my day early in the afternoon standing in a long line-up waiting to get my passport... After the long wait I headed off to Cafe Princess to meet up with a so called 'stranger' aka S.Wang...; he somehow happened to owe me dessert... I must say, it was random but it didn't turn out as awkward as I would've expected. As someone who dislikes green tea and cheese cake, he happened to order both for me at once... Surprisingly, it actually tasted quite good...! Random chats about random things... we happened spend a good two hours together...; this definitely did help to keep my mind off things for a while.

Because I lost track of time, I had to rush back home to get changed for Commencement. As expected, it was really nothing special, all I did was just sit there and text. Fortunately, I had J.Po sitting beside me, so time passed by more excitingly. The topic of grade 9 happened to come up and we were both just laughing at how things would've turned out differently if only..... Well, the past is the past already, too late to think about it now.

One of the few HK buddies left in the building.

After the long ceremony, Merre and I went all over the place to take pictures with our dear DMCI school mates. Since it's the last time we'll ever see each other in this sketchy building, we wanted to take photos to mark down the memorable moments.

Model girlies
3 good years together; lunch
Too much love
Funniest teacher ever

As one of our school traditions, every year after commencement students would go to Jack Astors to celebrate. This year, was an epic fail. No one made reservations... well I guess no one exactly cared? My fellow friends then came up with the idea to all grab food from where ever  and cuddle together on the grass at Shops at Don Mills. Honestly, the idea was great... but not when everyone's in suits and dresses though. Therefore, Merre and I passed on it. We walked some people to get food at Subway and then ditched off to have a proper dinner at Congee Queen with J.Zhou; his friend and W.Wu also joined us afterwards. To end off the night, W.Wu drove Merre home & J.Zhou walked me home; so gentlemen.

Bruce | June 28th

It was just two days ago that we hung out with EM and AM. But somehow, we managed to hold another gathering, this time a movie. Except EM was extremely late. Tsk. We originally wanted to watch bad teacher, but ended up watching Mr. Popper's Penguins instead. The quite movie was funny, but not the type of funny that we're into.

I have to say that hang outs with them have died down. When the movie was over, we, once again had the hardest time figuring out what to do next. EM got fries and coffee while we played cards in the food court. But since I had more to my evening, I didn't mind.

When it was around 6:30, we all left cause I had to attend an elementary reunion dinner. Since I went the same route as AM, we went together. Random chats on the subway. Now thinking back, it was so relaxing. No care in the world whatever I said to that guy.

My view for the night -.-"

Once upon a time..

Bruce gave me so much memories and I was excited to see what's left of our graduating class. I have to say, it was awkward at first, but we got through it. Mandarin was also a nice suggestion, bringing people together with food... Haha. It was so nice to see old friends once again. Definitely my favourite class. And probably 100x better than Gateway. Took some photos here and there. Sad to see everyone go off to uni, but I guess life goes on. Officially ended that chapter of my life, but it was one hell of a ride--those 4 years of my life.

Cheers guys!

Finale | June 27th

It was exam review today, but knowing the fact that I didn't have any exams... it was pretty meaningless to me. The whole morning, hoping to see the appearance of this one person; haven't struggled so much in a long while. The day got better after seeing T.Ju in the building; it was like a mini reunion for us! After some picture taking & chatting sessions, we headed to Congee Queen for lunch.

Excited to be out of high school; forever!
Two short ones inbetween of 2 tall ones, plus R.Wang

Our large group of people divided into two groups and headed off to Pacific Mall from different directions. Because Merre, T.Ju and I arrived early, we went for some bubble tea and decided to play Truth or Dare to pass time. I must say that was one of the big highlights of the day; hilarious. After everyone arrived we went for some shopping here & there and then settled down at Market Village where we bought a deck of cards and played Big2 in the food court. Originally, us girls wanted to get our ears pierced together, but guess that didn't really happen... well we'll do that next time for sure!

It was clearly not a dare...
Sister, brother, sister; Gilmour stuff.

Highlights of the day: coughing moments, texting on the bus moments, blow in the ears moments, photo bomb moments, and waiting for miracle moments...

ToA | June 26th

We're quite behind in our posts I know. We're trying our best to keep up though. So, our fun summer schedule does not end there. Noon till afternoon, Choco and I along with MW and JK went to visit our dance teacher at her own recital. This year feels like a sob goodbye to everyone. Leaving for universities all over the place, we probably won't be in her class anymore. I've felt a special attachment to her teaching ways for the past 3 years and regrets not being able to continue. Then again, she will be going back to university at York, so maybe Choco and her will bump into each other.. haha.

Last dirty bit

After some fruity snacks and sandwiches, we went to Finch station to meet EM and AM. Haven't really hung out with them for awhile. They sort of just disappeared from our lives for a bit and now slowly coming back. Our plan for the rest of the day was to go to Taste of Asia, which happened to end at 6:30. We probably got there around 5:30 and wondered around. Got stinky tofu, rice noodles, watermelon juice and squid. Mmm...

Stinky tofu x2

Trying to finish it

Getting tired, we went into Pmall and had bubble tea and played cards like losers. Oh well. We were then joined by LL. Hilarious interactions I must say.

Big 2 fun

Like always, when it was time to go, we had trouble with a place to chill. Ideas of pooling, singk, drinking, etc came up. But in the end, we ended up at a small restaurant and ate dinner. So difficult without a car. We had to walk more than 3 blocks to get to wherever we were planning to go to. Bused home, but was kinda out of it. Probably cause we had too much fun yesterday. :p Tomorrow is yet another busy day.

Sober | June 25th

It's about time to start fresh and to mark down this memorable moment; we started our day off with a haircut downtown. By the end of it, our heads turned brown and purple; it felt awkward with no hair to pull onto... After the hair, it was time for the clothes. Merre and I headed off to H&M for some quick shopping... from there we picked up 2 shirts; simple & plain.

This photo is amazing; new faces
Of course, it's us three together again

Something we've been looking forward to for weeks; the Asian BBQ gathering! Upon arriving, J.Zhou got lost somewhere in the washroom; it took a lot of effort to hunt him down. Because there wasn't enough car seats, the poor guy had to sit in the trunk. A party that was meant for 7 people turned out to have 17 people circling around a smokey BBQ stove; of course there was also cigarette/cigar smoke that mixed in. It was quite interesting on the ratio of girls against guys... 4:13; what on earth was going on? There's just too much to explain. We started off easy with Corona, Guinness, Budwiser, Japanese beer, and more. As for the food, there was there basics; lamb, pork, sausage, squid, marshmallows, and more + chicken heart. We soon moved onto some hard liquor; vex and then goose. Compared to the last time we drank, I must say we consumed a lot more liquid this time... and yet we didn't get "drunk"; pretty good for newbies like us!

Trust me, it was more intense than how it looks
Self-explanatory

Throughout the night we played games, went for rides to LCBO & supermarket, watched people chug down vex within seconds, and exchanged numbers. One of our dear friend claims that she's a good drinker, but it turned out that she was the one and only that got drunk plus, she puked all over the place; it was gross. summer.

Oh my... Getting tipsy...
Grocery shopping memories

Other highlights of the night; washroom moments, walking home moments, broken chair moments, W.Wu humorous moments, chasing the taste moments, counting 7 moments, and much more. Overall, a great start for the summer and nice way to end off the school year.

Songs | June 24th

So that day was the day that my exams were all done. A sigh of relief indeed. And as soon as I walked out that stuffy cafe, I knew my summer had finally begun. Our schedule is pretty packed, that's for sure. It's kind of ridiculous how we some something planned for each day. On this day, it was to go singk with FC, KC and RW. It was more of like goodbye for FC and KC because they were leaving the next day. One of our signature gestures that day also involved buying FC an early birthday present. We got 2 Mexx shirts, a watch from Aldo, Lindor Chocolate & a random card. Nice.

FC and Choco
Lala Crew
The night was filled with singing, some yearbook signing, twitter and facebook hacking... the list goes on. No one said anything, but we knew that it was quite tense and as soon as KC left, everyone sort of loosened up. Hilarious.

And of course, as a tradition every time, we would go to Congee Queen for dinner. We wanted to get more people to come, but turns out, no one was able to show up on such a short notice. We then ended up making fun of them by doing some creepy black-and-white photo things. Everyone saw someone they knew, it's so unfair. Choco with her wretch friend, Renee with her congee friend and even Fanky with his bus stop friend.

Law(l)
Overall a nice way to say goodbye, yet at the same time a great way to start off the summer! Tomorrow will be even more exciting... Wait for it...

Do re mi
