Familiar | July 9th

Because Night It Up! is quickly approaching, we had a NIU! briefing @ TCCC early in the morning to ensure all members knew what to do on the day of the event. After the meeting, merre, D.Liang, C.Yau, and I traveled to MCC area to sneak flyers on people's cars; we had to make sure to do it quick before people walked over to bitch at us. On the way back, we had a whole discussion on our age difference and all that; I was surprised to find out D.Liang was like 8 yrs older...! We also made a stop at paint-a-thon; mainly just canvas building and painting signs.

The moment we thought we were going to head home L.Zhang showed up and asked us to join her and J.Ling for lunch. We went to eat at Phoenix; R.Hung and A.Wu came as well afterwards. This meal turned out pretty well... as we went through some of the truth or dares in my phone. It was quite awkward to be honest... but we sure got to listen to some interesting past stories from these guys...!

As great as this day may have been... this one phone call totally killed it. I even struggled to answer the phone... It was S.Wang and he wanted to watch a movie together along with R.Mao and B.Chen or something like that. Merre and I agreed and made our way to my place to pass the extra time and do some girly things. Next thing we know, it was already 7... so I made a phone call to ask what was going on. It lasted less than a minute and I hung up on it; some fucking ridiculous bullshit I heard on the other line. Anyways, in conclusion, this whole movie thing got cancelled and it fully ruined our mood period.

So we needed to calm down somehow... and to do that, we went up to the rooftop of Shops At Don Mills and just chilled there for a while. We figured that having some sweets may help so we called up D.Ngai, H.Chen, and J.Kan for a last minute dessert session @ Sugar. For some odd reason I tried ordering things to sweeten my mood up, but it just didn't quite work... I guess everyone there made up for it though. Afterwards H.Chen drove merre home and D.Ngai drove me and J.Kan. To conclude the night, I made a stop at Starbucks with D.Ngai and got a white chocolate mocha that really helped to cool me down.
