compromises*: Novotel

The drinking party that we were planning right after R.Wang's bbq has finally arrived. We prepared this day especially at Novotel hotel. Attendees to this event: choco, merre, R.Wang, T.Truong, S.Truong, D.Ngai, H.Chen, J.Ing-Chen, L.Lau, E.Mei, A.Man, L.Yuen, A.Leung, and J.Kan; quite a large group for one hotel room to handle.

Prior to the event, we met up with R.Wang at Teashop168 to chill and just catch up on life. We spent a good few hours there playing some childhood board games, pretty entertaining actually. It wasn't long until everyone began to meet us there. But as soon as it got a little too awkward, we left. There were many things that had to be done before the party. We had to check-in, buy drinks & buy everything else that was needed. So it was time for some hardcore grocery shopping.

We had a small budget to work with and so we spent every penny wisely. We bought orange juice, coke, aloe vera, gatorade, water, chips, etc and we were so proud when our total came up to be $20.01. Next stop was LCBO. Since only "of age" people were allowed in, there were some slight confusion as to what to buy. We ended up with iceberg, corona & only 4 green apple.

When the night was still young

Since we were at a hotel room this time, our only resource for keeping our drinks cold was raping the ice machine. We dunked everything in buckets and even the bathroom sink. We started the day soft and played a few rounds of big2 with partners. And as the 2 losers, they had to do a dare. It wasn't long till everyone started to come. Since it was still "too early" to drink, we went out to Pho88 to have dinner. Our table couldn't fit everyone so we were split in two groups. By the way, Renee had to take two needle shots and everyone had to be careful not to accidentally punch her arms. On the way out, choco bumped into T.Fong and his girlfriend, he randomly asked where D.Ngai was... that was pretty funny.

We then got back to the hotel and started the real deal; the drinking began. We learnt some new drinking games; kings, bus and 15 20. Some attempts to get certain people tipsy... or should we say "drunk"; ganging up on each other. Throughout the night, there were walks to timmies, time for smokes, bottle spinning, guys stripping, unidentified items taken off of people, private times in the washroom, etc etc. It has pretty hard to divide the sleeping areas up, since there was really only 1 queen bed, 1 single and a couch... In conclusion, some poor beings had to sleep on the floor/chairs... Overall, it was a night filled with unexpected actions.
